Checked out Del.icio.us and created an account. I’m doing an panel presentation on fusion dance at this year’s upcoming Oral History Association conference and I’m experimenting with Del.icio.us as a way to share videos that I have found on YouTube and other sites with my fellow panelists. I’ve discovered, however, in order to share, it’s best that I give people the direct URL to my Del.icio.us account rather than expecting them to search by keywords.
Regarding searching, I really like Del.icio.us as a research tool–much better than Rollyo and better than Technorati, in my opinion. When I put in searches for “oral history” and “learning 2.0″, I came up with new sites I hadn’t seen before.
Oh, I also discovered this fun video about social bookmarking from Common Craft. The video uses nothing but whiteboard and bits of paper so it’s very understandable.
