Spring has sprung, the flowers riz/I wonder where Bud Hilton is?
My pipes are froze, but I knows/Bud can fix it with his hose.
This was a catchy and oft-repeated commercial jingle on the radio for Bud Hilton’s Pumping and Thawing, a local septic system business. It has stuck in my mind for over twenty years and I think of it every spring. Darn you, Bud Hilton!

Reminds of Winston’s “Sewage and Septic Sucking Service” from the Red Green Show. Would like to make the ductape regata someday.
I’ve become convinced that the Red Green Show is actually a documentary about my home town. There’s no character on there so outrageous that I don’t think “hey, I know that guy.”
Drat! That reminded me of the Montana version, stuck in my head lo these twenty years:
Sometimes in the mornin’/ you wake up without warnin’
And find/ You’ve got BANGS in your herd.
Never have learned what “bangs” is, but it doesn’t sound good!?!
