I was given the choice between Pharrell’s “Happy” and Weird Al’s parody of the same, “Tacky”, on a quiz. Needless to say, I was drawn to “Tacky” like a bug to a windshield.


One of the things I like about Weird AlĀ  is his fondness for words. If you like “Word Crimes”, check out his song about palindromes.

Here’s something that you really don’t see enough of on American television. A respected journalist, Bill Moyers, interviews a respected actor, John Lithgow, about the ideas and themes of Shakespeare’s King Lear. Lithgow is currently playing the title role in New York’s Delacorte Theater in Central Park.
